THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Syndicate of the University of Kerala, at its meeting here on Saturday, decided to fix the fee for the M.Ed course in self-financing colleges affiliated to it at Rs.40,000 and the caution deposit at Rs.5,000.

A syndicate sub-committee will fix the norms for running the course and classes will begin in two weeks, a press note issued here by the university said.

Appointed

The syndicate decided to appoint Eugene Sunil as the Director of Physical Education.

The meeting resolved that the results of the first and second semester examinations of the part- time B.Tech computer science programme at the TKM engineering college, Kollam, would not be published now.

However, the students would be allowed to appear for the third semester examinations with the condition that they should write the examination at the College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram.

Such students should also continue their studies at the CET. The second semester B.Ed lab examinations at the Mary Matha College of Teacher Education will be held at the Government College of Teacher Education, Thiruvananthapuram, the Syndicate decided.

The examinations will be held before January 15. The meeting entrusted the task of conducting these examinations with the principal of the Government College of Teacher Education.

It was resolved at the meeting that the entry of visitors to the University would be regulated on the afternoon of January 1.

This is on account of the meeting to be held that afternoon in connection with the staff day celebrations, the press note added.
