‘Implement panel’s recommendations’

BANGALORE: The Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association has urged the State Government to implement the recommendations of the Fifth State Pay Commission. Addressing presspersons here on Saturday, L. Byrappa, president of the association, said the commission had recommended for payment of house rent allowance (HRA) and city compensatory allowance to State Government employees at the rate at which Central Government employees were being given. Mr. Byrappa said the recommendations had been pending since several months. – Staff Reporter
