Electoral rolls to be ready in a week

BANGALORE: Government personnel, under the direction of the Election Commission, have been making door-to-door visits of every household in the State for the last 10 days for including voters in the electoral rolls. The fresh rolls will be ready in a week’s time, according to sources in the office of the chief electoral officer here. Sources said the personnel had collected information from the families about the omission of names or mistakes in the rolls and the new rolls would be prepared after making suitable corrections. The draft rolls of the electors had been published on its website: www.karnataka.kar.nic.in, and voters can contact authorities for corrections or additions in it, if any.
