1,060 students take AIEEE mock test

PUDUCHERRY: A total of 1,060 students from 19 schools, including six Government institutions, across Puducherry, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Karaikal, Neyveli, Chinna Salem, Panruti and Chidambaram on Sunday took the AIEEE mock test conducted by The Hindu Education Plus and AIMS Education.

A total of 1,450 students had registered for the exam. Around 220 girls and 840 boys took the paper 1 exam, comprising Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry questions.

R. Loganathan, Rajkamal and Mohamed Sadam Hussein, students from VOC Government Higher Secondary School, Kotucherry,Karaikal, said they found the physics questions a bit tough. Chemistry and mathematics were easier, they added. “We came to know about the AIEEE from our seniors and registered only the day before yesterday,” they said.

S.S. Saravanan and V. Vivek Kumar said they didn’t prepare much for the exam, but added they would concentrate on the AIEEE after their Plus Two exams, which would conclude by the third week of March.

S. Parthipan, coordinator, AIMS Education, said the scores of the students would be available on January 12.

“We will give the overall ranking for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry,” he added.
