CUTTACK: The two-day ‘Winter revelry’ celebrated at Lajpat Ray DAV School here offered a platform for students to showcase their skills. Star attractionRegional director of DAV schools H.K. Mohanty inaugurated the event and said that the exhibits put on display by the children would help them study their lessons in more practical way. The model of a polling booth put up by students of the Social Studies Department was the star attraction. The students played the role of presiding officers, polling agents, voters and political leaders and, of course, there were students in police uniform to maintain law and order at the polling booth. “The students learn best when they are taught their subjects practically,” said a parent who had come to visit the exhibition with his 10-year-old daughter.
