Trader murdered

VIZIANAGARAM: A wholesale trader Varanasi Janardhana Rao alias Chinni Krishna (60) was found murdered in his home on Gadikhana streeton Sunday. Before strangulating him with the muffler he was wearing, the miscreants hit him with a club. The blood-stained club was found in the house.
According to CI Mohan Rao, the trader had been in biscuits business for the last 10 years and had been shuttling between Bobbili and Vizianagaram at least thrice in a week.
The CI said it must have been a ‘murder for gain’ as a finger ring, gold chain and Rs. 36,000 were found missing. The trader’s assistant reportedly delivered the cash to him late in the night.
