Thrissur: Factionalism in the Communist Party of India (Marxist) will end with the upcoming State conference in Kottayam, CPI(M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has said. He was addressing the delegates’ session of the CPI(M) district conference here on Sunday. “There are some minor problems. They are being sorted out at the district conferences. Reports in the media that there are VS and Pinarayi factions in the CPI(M) are pure nonsense. There is only one group and that is the party. Such propaganda is aimed at destabilising the party. Thrissur is one the main centres where some people are out to destroy the party. A few persons here have issued statements against the party,” he said.
