Amit hits 79

NEW DELHI: An unbeaten 79 by Amit Beru helped Vidya Jain Academy to a five-wicket victory over Sonnet Club for a place in the semifinals of the Kaviraj Khajan Chand Malhotra memorial cricket tournament here.

The scores: Sonnet Club 179 in 39.4 overs (Nakul Raj Sharma 48, Abhishek Gupta four for 44) lost to Vidya Jain Academy 185 for five in 31.2 overs (Amit Beru 79 n.o., Pranav Kumar 46, Parth Rana 40).
