Innings win for Karnataka

Bangalore: Karnataka defeated Tamil Nadu by an innings and 48 runs in a KSCA South Zone under-13 tournament match that concluded here on Sunday. Karnataka scored 409 in its first innings and bowled out Tamil Nadu for 135 and 226. M. Adithyan’s 101 in the second knock went in vain for Tamil Nadu.

In other matches, Goa beat Kerala by an innings and 91 runs, while Hyderabad drew with Andhra.

The scores: Karnataka 409 in 111 overs bt Tamil Nadu 135 in 37 overs and 226 in 95 overs (M. Adithyan 101, N. Jagadeesan 51).

Goa 362 in 105.4 overs bt Kerala 185 in 56.5 overs and 86 in 36.2 overs (Shivam Marshekar five for 23).

Hyderabad 379 for six in 98 overs and 271 for nine decl. in 63 overs drew with Andhra 342 in 81.3 overs and 146 for three in 23.2 overs (Surendra Babu 68, Jayawardhane 52). — Special Correspondent
