THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The circuit bench of the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission that has been promised to Kerala by Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar should be set up in Thiruvananthapuram, the Federation of Residents’ Associations of Thiruvananthapuram (FRAT) has demanded. Since the head offices of various government departments and of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission were located in the capital, it would be beneficial both to the government and to the people if the circuit bench was also located in Thiruvananthapuram, a press note issued here said. The FRAT congratulated the State government for its efforts to bring over the circuit bench and has appealed to the Chief Minister, among others, to ensure that the bench was set up in the State capital, the press release added.
