100-bed facility at Utnoor hospital

Another medical camp at Utnoor on January 3

Rs. 2 cr. for drinking water in agency villages


ADILABAD: The Utnoor area hospital in Adilabad district will be upgraded as a 100-bed hospital and the Narnoor Primary Health Centre will be converted into a 30-bed facility for the benefit of tribals, declared district in charge and R&B Minister T. Jeevan Reddy. He said this was one of the many permanent measures being under taken by the Government for providing better medical facilities to tribals.

Inaugurating a mega medical camp organised by the district administration and SKILL an NGO at Jainoor mandal head quarters, the Minister said the Government also sanctioned about Rs. 2 crore for providing safe drinking water in the agency villages.

While Collector Ahmad Nadeem recounted the measures taken by the district administration during the critical phase in the recent past, Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar said another medical camp would be organised at Utnoor on January 3 for which Rs. 6 lakhs has been released.
