Rs. 23-lakh net profit for bank

TIRUCHI: The Tiruchi City Cooperative Bank has earned a net profit of Rs. 23.01 lakh for 2006-2007. Out of the profit, a sum of Rs. 16.98 lakh has been issued to members as dividend, Special Officer N. Srinivasan said presiding over the 95th Annual General Body meeting held recently.

With a collection of Rs. 34.91 crores as deposits from members, the bank lent Rs. 27.84 crore as loans. General Manager K. Jeyakumar said that the bank, which has 100 self-help groups attached to it, has been accorded ‘A’ class in the Audit.
