Students urged not to believe TRS president KCR’s words

HYDERABAD: Former APSRTC Chairman Gone Prakash Rao has advised the student community not to fall into the trap allegedly laid by the Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhara Rao, who said that that students alone could lead the movement for a separate State.

Reacting sharply to the remarks made by Mr. Rao in Karimnagar, he said that from 1969 till date certain selfish politicians are playing with the lives of students and Government employees in the name of separate Telangana movement.

Students should realise that the TRS chief is also trying to whip up sentiments and provoke students to take to streets, Mr. Gone Prakash said in a pres note issued here on Sunday.

Questioning the TRS president’s assertion that he is always for the uplift of the downtrodden, Mr. Prakash Rao said that during the 2004 Assembly elections, TRS and Congress had entered into alliance.
