KATHMANDU: The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoists) has rejoined the coalition government three months after they had quit it. Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has inducted five Maoist Ministers into the Cabinet, according to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday evening. Krishna Bahadur Mahara, newly appointed Minister for Information and Communications, leads the Maoist team in the Cabinet. Other Ministers include Dev Gurung, Minister for Local Development, Hisila Yami, Minister for Planning and Works, Matrika Prasad Yadav, Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation. Pampha Bhusal, Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, is the new face in the Cabinet. She replaces Maoist leader Khadga Bhadur Bishwokarma.
