V.V. Nagar triumphs

HYDERABAD: Valluvar Nagar won the P. Sudhakar memorial (under-14) football tournament with a comfortable 3-0 win over Trimulgherry Village ‘A’ in the final at Trimulgherry Village Grounds here on Sunday.

Left-out Joshua put V.V. Nagar ahead in the 10th minute of first-half through a fine solo effort. He struck again in the 28th minute of second session and later winger Srikanth completed the tally with a long-ranger.

P. Shyam Kumar, President of Secunderabad Cantonment Youth Congress who sponsored the prizes, was the chief guest at the valedictory function.
