A highly-decomposed body of a 35-year-old man was found buried at Sikh Chowniath in Bahadurpura on Sunday. The incident came to light when youngsters playing cricket noticed a head protruding out of the ground. They informed the matter to elders who, in turn, alerted the police. The body bore injury marks on ribs and head. The police are investigating the case.

An eighth-standard student hanged herself to death at her house at Jaipuri Colony in Nagole on Saturday. N. Sinduja (15) ended her life in a depression after her mother Vasantha allegedly admonished her for not helping in the household work, according to police.

An auto rickshaw driver, who attempted suicide by immolating himself at his house at Tondupally village in Ranga Reddy district on Thursday, succumbed to burns at Osmania General Hospital on Saturday. The police said Mohd. Mahbub (34) killed himself after a quarrel with his wife over a trivial issue.

Twentyfive persons were nabbed by the city police on Sunday on the charge of playing cards in a house at Hyderguda in Himayatnagar. The arrested persons include one of the organisers, Sidda Reddy, from Kadapa district, according to the police.

A youngster, who attempted suicide by consuming poison at Padmarao Nagar early on Wednesday morning, died while undergoing treatment in a corporate hospital in Secunderabad on Sunday.

T. Sandeep Yadav (21), a resident of Ghansmandi, was a close relative of former Minister T. Srinivas Yadav. Sandeep was shifted to the hospital in an unconscious state around 3.15 a.m. on Wednesday.
