Uma Bharti’s advice to BJP

Staff Correspondent

BHOPAL: The Bharatiya Jan Shakti (BJS) president Uma Bharti said on Sunday that the BJP should learn to maintain decorum and decency from Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

At a party workers’ rally here, Ms. Bharti said she opposed Ms. Gandhi when she staked claim to the Prime Minister’s post. However, she now felt, the BJP leadership, at the Centre and in the State, should learn etiquette from Ms. Gandhi. The BJP leaders tended to lose patience easily.

Ms. Bharti dismissed all talk of her return to the BJP. She said that a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh pracharak had explored this possibility and was told it could be discussed only with the office-bearers of her party.
