Labourer drowns

NAMAKKAL: A labourer drowned in a well in Vennanthur near here on Sunday. Police said that Shanmugam (37) of Vadugampalayam village was sleeping on the parapet wall of a well, when he fell in to it and drowned

Jewellery stolen

A few unidentified persons stole five sovereigns of jewellery and cash from a house in Angammal colony in Salem here on Sunday night. The victim Sundaramurthi found the doors of his house broke open on Monday.
