Tirumala ‘hundi’ nets Rs. 406 cr.

TIRUMALA: The ‘Hundi’ at the temple of Lord Venkateswara, Tirumala recorded the highest ever annual income of Rs. 406 crore during the year 2007. This is more than 50 per cent of the annual budget of the TTD. Besides this, the Hundi also netted several quintals of gold, silver, diamond and other precious articles. -Staff Reporter
