Bijapur
BIJAPUR: Former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Monday hinted that the party would not allow aspiring MPs to contest the forthcoming Assembly elections. Addressing a press conference here he said there was nothing wrong in MPs aspiring for Assembly tickets but the fact was that they [MPs] had still a term of over 18 months to complete. Anyway, the party Central leadership would decide on such cases if any, he said. When his attention was sought about Bijapur MP, Bsanagouda R. Patil Yatnal’s open statement that he aspired to contest in the elections and that the Central leadership had give a nod, he jokingly said: “Reporters should not ask a question about an individual who is very much present here.”
