Yankees CC emerges champion

Udhagamandalam: A fine knock of 90 by I. Eshwar enabled Yankees Cricket Club post a 13-run win over Colts Cricket Club to emerge champion in the NDCA-HPF Staff Club Rolling Trophy cricket tournament here recently.

The scores (final): Yankees CC 194 (I. Eshwar 90, Arun K. Nair 46) bt Colts CC 181 (S. Sandeep 60, P. Prasanna four for 42).

Yadush hits century

P. Yadush Bose scored a century in Youngstars Cricket Club’s 104-run win over New Star Cricket Club in the Canara Bank-NDCA ‘A’ division cricket league for the K-Lite Rolling Trophy here recently.

The scores:

‘A’ division: All Stars CC 183 (T. Senthil 80, K. Harrison Prabhu four for 40) lost to Union Powers CC 184 for eight in 32 overs (T. Senthil four for 30); Youngstars CC 255 (P. Yadush Bose 100, K. Darshan 63) bt New Star CC 151 (K. Darshan five for 38); Fern Hill Youngsters CC 211 (C. Mohan 52) bt New Star CC 141 (Sundaramurthy 52).

Big win for Power Star

Power Star Cricket Club notched up a nine-wicket win over Leela Memorial Cricket Club in the Canara Bank-DCAN ‘A’ division league at Namakkal recently.

The scores:

‘A’ division: Leela Memorial CC 76 in 20 overs (S. Navaladi Muthukumar four for 27, N. Suresh four for 13) lost to Power Star CC 77 for one in 12 overs.

Double for Ajith

C. Ajith Kumar of Namakkal clinched the U-12 and U-14 boys’ singles titles in the district-level junior tennis tournament at Coimbatore recently.

The results (final): Boys: U-10: Sukavaneshwar (Cbe) bt Harish Chakravarthy (Cbe) 8-4.

U-12: C. Ajith Kumar (Nam) bt Sukavaneshwar 9-7.

U-14: C. Ajith Kumar bt G. Yogeshwaran 9-4.

Kannan hits hundred

A century by R. Kannan (102) saw R.K.S Cricket Academy score a thumping 225-run win over Jolly Rovers Cricket Club in the Canara Bank-CDCA first division league for the Pricol Trophy here on Sunday.

The scores: First division: RKS CA 287 for four in 50 overs (R. Kannan 102, Aslam Sher Khan 42, S. Saravanan 75 n.o., Eswaramoothy 40 n.o.) bt Jolly Rovers CC 62 in 15.1 overs; Tirupur CC 177 for nine in 50 overs (Udayakumar 50 n.o., Prem Kumar five for 33) lost to Sri Ramakrishna Mills SC 180 for three in 34.2 overs (Saravanakumar 64 n.o., Hari Prasad 63 n.o.); Sri Ramakrishna CT 198 in 49.3 overs (Hari Prasad 57) lost to Rainbow CC 200 for eight in 48 overs (Siddarth 50, Venkatesan 40 n.o.).

Easy for SRM

Sri Ramakrishna Mills (SRM) posted a 97-run win over Arumugam Cricket Club in the CDCA-Sri Ramakrishna Mills prize money knockout cricket tournament at the SNR Sons grounds recently.

The scores: First division: Sri Ramakrishna Mills 198 for seven in 30 overs (G. Surendar 52, A. Avinash 88, M.V. Harikumar four for 34) bt Arumugam CC 101 in 21.1 overs.
