6 held for highway robbery

Udhagamandalam: Six persons from Manjeri have been arrested in connection with a highway robbery near Masinagudy.

According to the police seven persons in a car waylaid two tourists from Palakkad on Sunday while they were moving in a car from a resort to another at Mavanhallah. They beat up one of them and escaped with some cash. The police stopped their car near Vazhaithottam. While one of the culprits escaped, the others were nabbed. — Special Correspondent
