Defence Production Secretary

NEW DELHI: Pradeep Kumar, Secretary, Department of Disinvestment, Ministry of Finance, has been appointed Secretary, Department of Defence Production in the vacancy caused by the retirement of K. P. Singh.

Mr. Kumar belongs to the 1972 batch of IAS from the Haryana cadre.

Siddharth Behura of the 1973 batch of the U.P. cadre has been appointed Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, in the vacancy caused by the retirement of D. S. Mathur, an official release said here on Monday.

The government has also approved an extension of the term of Arun Bhatnagar, a retired IAS officer, as Secretary, National Advisory Council in the rank and pay of Secretary till April 30, 2008.
