State-level science expo

Sangareddy: The State-level science exhibition being held in Medak district for the first time from January 9 to 12, will showcase young talent on the theme of “Science, technology and the planet earth.” School students from high school and upper primary level can participate in any one of the six sub themes like energy, agriculture and food, drought management, mathematical models and education technology.

Giving details of the event, the District Educational Officer S. Pratap Reddy told reporters here on Tuesday that heads of all institutions in the State which had won first prize in district-level science exhibitions should register their entries a day before the inaugural function.

In all, 600 student exhibits and 23 teacher exhibits would be put on display.

Collector and chairman of the organising committee B. Venkatesam wanted all students from rural background to be allowed to exhibit their models at the venue.
