BIJAPUR: Six persons were killed and three others sustained injuries in four separate accidents here on Tuesday. Two persons on a two-wheeler were killed after being hit by a lorry on Basavanabagewadi-Huvinahipparagi Road near Basavanahatti Cross. Police gave the names of dead as Shashidhar Shivanagouda Patil (26) and Vishwanath alias Eshwar Shivalingappa Somanahatti (24), both residents of Basavanabagewadi town. At Chikkabevanur village in Indi taluk, a motorcyclist and the pillion rider were killed when their two-wheeler was hit by a multi-utility vehicle. One person was killed and two others injured when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling dashed against a road median near the DSP’s office. In yet another accident , a pillion rider was killed. The victim was identified as N. Indramma Prakash (52).
