Entry fee for night shelters waived

NEW DELHI: Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra has announced that the entry fee for night shelters run by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi will be waived with effect from Tuesday. These orders will be in force up to February 28.

Ms. Mehra, who is also chairperson of the MCD Slum Committee, said now that winter is at its peak, “to help homeless people and to protect them from extreme cold conditions, the decision to waive off the entry fee has been taken.”
