Journalist booked in accident case
NEW DELHI: A senior journalist with a Hindi news TV channel was arrested on Parliament Street here on Tuesday on charges of causing death due to rash and negligent driving.
Neelu Ranjan was returning home when he allegedly hit an ice-cream vendor, Amar Kumar, from behind on Rajendra Prasad Road around midnight. The 18-year-old victim was taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Neelu Ranjan was booked for causing death due to rash and negligent driving and arrested at the spot. He was later let off on bail.
