Withdraw permission to SEZs: JD (U)

BANGALORE: The Janata Dal (United) on Wednesday welcomed the statement by Agriculture Department Principal Secretary Ramaswamy that the Government will not allow acquiring of cultivable farm land for special economic zones (SEZs). In a press release, Janata Dal (U) general secretary G.K.C. Reddy hoped that such a stand was the official stand of the Government. He also urged the State Government to withdraw the permission given to SEZs coming up at Nandagudi and Bidadi.
