Senior swamiji passes away

TUMKUR: Sri Karibasava Deshikendra Shivayogi, the senior swamiji of Sri Kadasiddeshwara Math of Nonavinakere at Tiptur taluk in Tumkur district, passed away at the math on Wednesday.

He was 95. Political leaders, including Maharashtra Governor S.M. Krishna and Chief Minister of Maharashtra Vilasrao Deshmukh visited the math to pay their tributes.

Visit

H.D. Kumaraswamy and B.S. Yeddyurappa visited the math soon after they were sworn in as Chief Ministers. Both were blessed by the swamiji.
