This Day That Age
Mr. P.V. Rajamannar, acting Governor of Madras, presiding over the release of new editions of Sangam Classics in Tamil under the auspices of the Tamil Writers Association at St. Mary’s Hall in George Town, on January 1, said that the literary works of the Sangam age were “books of all time”. He said that a knowledge of the classics was essential for the study of humanities and that no study of liberal education was perfect without a study of classics.
