Letters to the Editor
Benazir Bhutto’s sudden tragic death has dealt a serious blow to the democratic process in Pakistan with uncertainties reaching a peak. Unless all the democratic parties regroup themselves under an able and experienced leadership and fight to throw the military out, the sad state of affairs in Pakistan is bound to continue with the army and fundamentalists calling the shots. K.R. Srinivasan, Hyderabad The pity is that such people are being used as dispensable tools by political mercenaries and self-styled terrorist organisations. Unless they are identified and wiped out by universal law, terrorism will continue to grow. C.S. Sampath Kumaran, Chennai
