Presidency School storms into semifinals

BANGALORE: Presidency School (R.T. Nagar) defeated V.V.S. Sardar Patel School by an innings and 10 runs to enter the semifinals of the Boost Cup under-17 cricket tournament here on Wednesday.

In another match, St. Joseph’s Boys HS beat Jain International Residential School by 107 runs.

The scores:

VVS Sardar Patel School 159 & 135 (Mohd. Muneer four for 52) lost to Presidency School (R.T. Nagar) 304 (Abhishek Shetty four for 62).

St. Joseph’s BHS 268 for nine & 176 for six (Dinesh Borakar 74, Prashanth 43) beat JIRS 211 & 126 (G. Pavan four for 56).

Easy for Challengers

Young Challengers drubbed Jawahar Union 4-0 in the ‘C’ division football championship here on Wednesday.

JIRS reigns

Jain International Residential School (JIRS) won the Max Talent Bisleri Cup, a quadrangular schools tournament among two teams from Bangalore and two from Dubai.

In the final, JIRS defeated Max Talent team by 55 runs.

The scores: JIRS 173 for one (Prithveer Rai 72) in 25 overs beat Max Talent 118 in 23 overs.
