Flight carrying Antony delayed

Thiruvananthapuram: The departure of IC 168 flight of Indian to Delhi from the international airport here on Wednesday with Union Defence Minister A.K. Antony onboard got delayed due to overbooking.

An official of the airline said there was group booking and three officials were off-loaded to enable the flight to take off.

The flight arrived 45 minutes late, he said. Indian uses A-321 aircraft that can accommodate 172 passengers in the sector.

The flight, that was to depart at 2.55 p.m. finally left for Mumbai enroute to Delhi at 4.36 p.m., airport sources said.
