Talent galore: Scenes from the Bharatanatyam, Daff Muttu and Folk dance events held as part of the Thiruvananthapuram Revenue District Schools Youth Festival in the city on Wednesday.
Thiruvananthapuram: At the end of the second day of the Thiruvananthapuram Revenue District Schools Youth Festival being held at Manacaud HSS, with the results of 49 events declared, Kaniyapuram sub-district is leading with 191 points, followed closely by Thiruvananthapuram South with 182 points. Thiruvananthapuram North occupies the third position with 179 points. Balaramapuram, Varkala and Attingal are trailing with 139, 129 and 127 points respectively. Main eventsSome of the main events which took place on the second day were Bharathanatyam, Folk dance and Kathakali. Group dances, another popular event, will be held tomorrow. Four-day feteThe four-day youth festival, being held at six venues, will see over 3,000 students from various schools in the district competing in about 96 art, cultural and literary events.
