A search was conducted by the bomb detection squad

TAMBARAM: A bomb hoax forced a government school to declare holiday on Wednesday, the day it re-opened after vacation.
Students of the Government Adi Dravidar Higher Secondary School in Meenambakkam had assembled for the prayer session when a police team entered the premises.
They informed the authorities that the city police control room had received a call that a bomb would go off on the school premises. A bomb detection and disposal squad made a thorough search of the school premises and declared the call as a hoax. The police said the call was made from a PCO in a provisions store, just 100 metres away from the school.
