Milk shortage: price hike likely

Thiruvananthapuram: Another hike in the price of milk seems imminent with shortage forcing Milma to limit its sales in the State to just under 10 lakh litres. Milma has been procuring nearly 2.6 lakh litres of milk daily from Karnataka. But with milk prices going up in Karnataka, it is no longer viable to procure milk at a high price and sell it at Rs. 17 per litre in Kerala, Milma officials have pointed out.
