Warrant against Babloo’s associate

New Delhi: A court here on Wednesday issued a production warrant against Fazal-ur-Rehman, an alleged associate of underworld don Babloo Srivastav, after the Delhi police failed to produce him in court in connection with a four-year-old extortion case.

Additional Sessions Judge Pratibha Rani issued the production warrant against Fazal-ur-Rehman alias Fazlu and directed the Special Cell of Delhi Police to produce the alleged underworld sharp-shooter in court on January 8.

Earlier, Investigating Officer Umesh informed the court that Rehman was taken to Darbhanga by the Special Cell sleuths and could not be produced in court today due to delay there.

In this case don Babloo Srivastava and his associates Fazlu, Pradeep Khurana and Jitender Singh allegedly made threatening calls to complainant, Sheetal Prasad Singh, to extort Rs 25 lakh from him between March 14 2003 to April 29 2003.
