Consumer awareness programme conducted

ADILABAD: An awareness programme on consumer issues was organised here on Thursday for NGOs, students, consumer activists and food inspectors as part of the ongoing Consumer Awareness Week.
Joint Collector G. Ravi Babu asked those concerned with consumer activities to ensure that only quality products were sold in the markets on proper prices. He said consumers should insist that shopkeepers issue bills for products purchased so that they could be held responsible for any loss suffered because of doubtful quality of the product. He also stressed on need for consumers to ensure proper weighment.
