For speedy implementation of rural development schemes JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government has decided to fill up vacant posts in all Panchayati Raj institutions to ensure speedy and effective implementation of rural development programmes. State Panchayati Raj Minister Kalulal Gujjar said here that the process for appointing Gram Sevaks for the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme would be completed by March 31 this year with “complete transparency”. Mr. Gujjar, presiding over a meeting of senior officers of his department, said the candidates would be selected strictly on merit through a competitive examination testing their general knowledge, command of Hindi language and numerical skills. The answer books would be screened through computer to ensure full transparency in the selection process, he added. Principal Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Secretary Ram Lubhaya, Panchayati Raj Commissioner Khem Raj and Deputy Secretary Jethmal Vyas attended the meeting.
