Fund for land for SC families sanctioned

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has sanctioned Rs.10 crore from the corpus fund for the financial year 2007-08 for acquiring land for the construction of houses for Scheduled Caste families without land and house. The maximum land value fixed by the government is Rs.45,000 for three cents of land in gram panchayats, Rs.50,000 for 1.5 cents of land in municipalities and Rs.60,000 for 1.5 cent of land in corporations. — Special Correspondent
