Barrister Kurian dead

Kochi: P.K. Kurian, a noted legal professional and social activist, passed away here on Wednesday after a prolonged illness. He was 77.

Popularly known as ‘Barrister Kurian,’ he was a senior partner of the leading law firm ‘Menon and Pai’ and was director of nearly a dozen corporate companies.

Mr. Kurian was a YMCA national executive committee member since 1954 and was named its president in 1981. He had also served as vice-president of YMCA World Alliance.

He is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter. — PTI
