JAIPUR: A special revenue campaign to settle the grievances of farmers and help them in matters on agricultural land started in Rajasthan on Thursday. Camps will be organised at all village panchayats till February 20 in two phases as part of the drive. An official release here stated that the first phase of the campaign would continue till January 18, while the second phase would be undertaken from January 28 to February 20. Senior officials of the State Revenue Department will settle farmers’ grievances on the spot in the camps. Activities such as opening of mutation, attestation, Jamabandi, grant of khatedari rights, allotment and regularisation of surplus land, regularisation of encroachments and updating of passbooks will be taken up at the camps. The Revenue Department’s officials will examine various cases of reservation of land for public use and formulate proposals for establishing new revenue villages. Matters relating to colonisation will also be considered during the drive. Officials of other departments such as Water Resources, Animal Husbandry, Cooperative, Watershed Development, Agriculture, and Panchayati Raj will attend the camps and provide information on new schemes to the farmers.
