Partying hard as ever
The year 2007 has zipped past reminding one and all the insignificance of man’s life on the scale of eternity. Huge celebrations, as usual, marked the onset of the year 2008. The year has changed but the style of celebrations has not. Long queues could be seen in front of wine shops, sweet shops, and bakeries, indicating the menu of the New Year. Drunken revelry that ran into the wee hours of the New Year Day and the accompanying wild screams were as usual. It is a clear indicator that the increasing fat and stress levels have absolutely no effect on the choice of the people. They still drink, eat a lot of sweets and cakes, and remain awake through the night.
