The smiles are back
The mood of diehard Hyderabadi cricket fans has tottered and teetered with the fluctuating fortunes of the Indian cricket team. While Wednesday, the first day of Australia-India second test match at Sydney, left cricket fans glum and fuming over the umpiring goof-ups of Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson, Thursday brought much to cheer about.
The ‘Very Very Special’ century of Hyderabadi V.V.S. Laxman had enlivened the gloomy proceedings of Wednesday for the cricket fans in city. That the first Indian century in the ongoing Australian series came from a Hyderabadi ‘bat’ further made Thursday, a whole lot better.
Living up to the tag of ‘insatiable’, now the fans are waiting with bated breath for Friday when master blaster Sachin and Bengal tiger Saurav resume the Indian innings on day three at Sydney.
