Udupi: The Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, Mysore and the Poornaprajna College, Udupi, will be jointly organising a two-day seminar on “History and Archeology of Udupi District” here on January 5 and 6. Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, principal of Poornaprajna College Rajamohan said that over 85 scholars would be presenting papers on history, archaeology, coins, literature and culture of Udupi district during the seminar. About 150 delegates would be participating in it.K.V. Ramesh, Joint Director, Archaeological Survey of India, New Delhi, would preside over the event. Minister of State for Labour and Employment Oscar Fernandes would preside over the inaugural function, he said.
