Record feat

The third of the Trader Series, 30,000 dwt bulk carrier m.v. Good Pacific, being built for M/s Good Earth Maritime Limited, Chennai, was floated out on Thursday from the covered building dock of Hindustan Shipyard Ltd in the presence of HSL Chairman and Managing Director Ajit Tewari.

A press note says the yard will deliver the vessel by February-end which will be a record time of delivery within one year of keel-laying. The first vessel of the series was delivered on May 31 in the presence of Minister for Shipping, Transport and Highways T.R. Baalu. The second is ready to be delivered by mid-January.
