Accused in cheating cases nabbed

HYDERABAD: Police on Thursday arrested Uppalapati Ravi Srinivas, wanted in several cheating cases in the city. Srinivas had been evading the police for the past few years.
He was accused of duping the unemployed youth offering them data entry work in software companies and collecting lakhs of rupees. He went into hiding after the city police registered cases against him a couple of years ago. The cases were later transferred to the Hyderabad Detective Department. Srinivas was also facing similar charges in Delhi.
The Commissioner’s Task Force team (West zone) caught him on a tip-off and handed him over to the DD officials for further questioning.
