NEW DELHI: Thousands of citizens across the Capital are in for a harrowing time all day on Friday following imposition of a series of restrictions on vehicular movement by the traffic police in view of a religious procession being taken out by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee to mark the Guru Gobind Singh birth anniversary. The procession will start from Gurdwara Rakab Ganj at 10 a.m. and is expected to terminate 11 hours later at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib around 9 p.m. It would pass though Pandit Pant Marg, GPO, Ashoka Road, Patel Chowk, Parliament Street, Regal Cinema, Connaught Circus, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Service Road Shivaji Terminal, Bhagat Singh Marg, Gole Market, Bhai Veer Singh Marg, GPO and Baba Khark Singh Marg. Buses bound for Kendriya Terminal or Connaught Circus via Tughlak Road from South Delhi will terminate at Sunehri Masjid. On their return journey the buses will go via Krishna Menon Marg. Buses coming from South and going to Minto Road via Tughlak Road, Janpath or Shahjahan Road will go via Aurangzeb Road, South End Road, Subrahmania Bharati Marg, Mathura Road, ITO and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg. The traffic police have advised commuters to avoid Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital roundabout, Gole Dak Khana, Patel Chowk, Windsor Place roundabouts, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Mandi House, Gole Market, Connaught Place and Punchkuian Road.
