Deposition postponed
NEW DELHI: A witness in the case registered against Rahul Mahajan for alleged purchase and consumption of narcotic drugs in 2006 could not depose before a court here on Thursday because the case files were in possession of the Delhi High Court. His deposition has now been postponed to January 30.
Additional Sessions Judge P. S. Teji decided to postpone the deposition after being informed that the case files were in the custody of the High Court. A petition had been filed by one of the co-accused in the case, Sahil Zaroo, in the High Court challenging the trial court’s order on framing of charges against him. According to the prosecution, Ahuja was among the key witnesses as he had claimed that he had seen Mahajan and the other accused buying and consuming drugs on June 1, 2006.
