It will throw light on problems in the field of education BIDAR: The 27th State-level convention of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) will begin from January 18 at the N.K. Jabsheety Ayurvedic College. ABVP State secretary Prabhudev Kapagal told presspersons here on Friday that the three-day convention would begin at 5.40 p.m., followed by a seminar. The next day, an expert would address the participants and on the same day a “Shobha Yatra” would be taken out. Later, a public meeting would be held at Ambedkar Circle. Mr. Kapagal said that about 1,000 delegates were expected to participate. Bidar was hosting the convention for the second time after 1991. He said at the convention, experts would speak on topics related to youth awareness. The convention would throw light on problems in the field of education. However, the main aim of the convention was “bringing youth together in nation-building.” On January 20, the convention would adopt a resolution on the current state of political affairs in the State and on the status of education. Shivakumar Swamiji of Chidambarashrama would take part in the valedictory function. Chairman of the reception committee Channabasappa Halhalli was present.
